Life is hard. Let's make benefits easier.
That's the idea Sentinel Group is built on. We're devoted to making health, wealth, and retirement easier by nurturing long-lasting relationships and delivering expert guidance – and on October 1, 2026, we're proud to become the new home for your MyHSA account.
We've partnered with the MyHSA team at EPIC RPS to keep everything you already know and trust. Your account keeps the MyHSA name, and the same people who have supported you are continuing on with Sentinel – so the relationships and knowledge you rely on stay right where they are.
Here's what that means for you:
Your balance moves with you – your current elections too.
Navigate Retirement Solutions continues to select and monitor the investments that are made available, exactly as before.
Your investments transfer as they are, so there's nothing to re-select.
You get an easy-to-use online portal, a mobile app, a new debit card, and a dedicated MyHSA support line.
Our goal is simple: less time on paperwork, more time managing what matters.
The vast majority of this transition is designed to be invisible to you. Your funds, your investment lineup, and your advisor all carry over automatically. You don't need to do anything to move your account – if you take no action, your account transitions to Sentinel automatically. That said, there are a few things worth knowing, and a small number of steps that will make sure you have uninterrupted access to your money.
Your account balance and investment holdings move over in full.
Navigate Retirement Solutions remains the investment advisor, continuing to select and monitor the MyHSA investment line-up.
Your current investment elections carry forward – no need to re-choose funds.
A one-time login is required. Before you can spend, transfer, or withdraw from your account, you'll need to log into the new Sentinel portal once to accept your account terms and verify your identity.
New debit cards are on the way. You’ll receive new Sentinel MyHSA debit card(s) by early October. Your previous cards will stop working around September 25, and your new cards activate after go-live (October 6), once you've completed your first login.
A new cash minimum. If you plan to invest a portion of your HSA balance, Sentinel first requires that $1,500 of your balance sit in a cash account (the EPIC HSA required a cash balance of $200 to invest). This cash account threshold is set to provide an amount that is readily accessible for spending. If you have money invested, a portion may move from investments into cash to meet this minimum. You can always set a higher personal cash target if you prefer.
Key dates to keep handy
Account Access
Your first login is the single most important step in this transition. Until you log in once and accept your account terms, you won't be able to use your card, withdraw funds, or make transfers – so we recommend doing it as soon as your account is live.
Getting started online
- Visit the Sentinel MyHSA portal (link at the top of this page).
- Choose Create an account / First-time login and follow the prompts to register.
- Accept your account terms and conditions.
- Complete a quick identity verification step (you may be asked for basic personal information to confirm it's really you)*.
Once you've completed these steps, your account is fully active and ready to use.
Please note that you will not be able to log into our system until the funds settle in your accounts on October 6. Sentinel will send an email communication once the site is ready to be accessed.
*You may only share banking information through the Sentinel portal. Do not provide personal information or banking information by email or phone.
On the go with the mobile app
You can access your account anytime and anywhere via our mobile app. Simply download the Sentinel (FSA HSA HRA) Mobile App from the App Store or Google Play to get started. From the app you can:
- Check your balance and transaction history
- Submit and track claims and reimbursements
- Snap photos of receipts to store with your expenses
- Manage your debit card
Managing your investments
Your investments come along with you, untouched. Navigate Retirement Solutions remains the investment advisor, your current fund lineup carries over, and your existing elections stay in place – so contributions keep flowing into the same investments you've already chosen. There is nothing you need to re-select.
About the cash minimum
Sentinel keeps a minimum of $1,500 in cash in your account so that everyday expenses are always covered. If you currently have more than that invested, you may see a portion of your investments move into cash to reach the minimum. When this happens, it's done proportionally across your holdings – no one fund is singled out. This is a routine part of the setup, not a trade you requested.
Going forward, when you spend from your cash balance, your account automatically rebuilds it back toward the minimum from your investments over time.
Reviewing and changing your investments
Once you've completed your first login, you can review and manage your investments right from the portal or app:
- See your current balances, holdings, and investment performance
- Review your investment elections for future contributions
- Set a higher personal cash target if you'd like to keep more in cash than the $1,500 minimum
- Update how new contributions are invested
Funding your account and accessing your money
Your HSA works the same way it always has – money goes in, and you use it for eligible health expenses. Here's how each side works on the Sentinel platform.
| Putting money in | Taking money out |
Through your employer / payroll: If your contributions come out of your paycheck, they'll continue automatically. Your employer is coordinating the switch behind the scenes. | Debit card: Use your new Sentinel MyHSA card at the point of care or pharmacy. Remember, your card draws on your cash balance – so a large expense above your available cash may be declined even if you have more invested. You can move funds from investments to cash in the portal when you need to cover a bigger bill. |
From your personal bank account: If you personally set up a recurring transfer from your own bank account (not through payroll), that schedule does not carry over and you'll need to re-establish it on the Sentinel portal after your first login. Sign in, add your bank account and routing details, and set up your recurring contribution so your savings continue without a gap. (If this applies to you, we'll reach out directly – but you can set it up any time once your account is live.) | Online or app reimbursement: Pay out of pocket and reimburse yourself, or pay a provider directly, right from the portal or mobile app. |
One-time deposits: You can make additional contributions any time from the portal or app, up to the annual IRS limit. | During the card gap (~Sept 25 to early Oct): If you need to pay for an eligible expense while cards are transitioning, use the payment-request option in the portal or call the dedicated MyHSA line and we'll help you. |
A reminder on that first login: No withdrawal method – card, online, or app – will work until you've logged in once and accepted your terms. It takes just a few minutes, and it unlocks full access to your money.
Your Sentinel Group Benefits Card
The easiest way to tap into your HSA funds and pay for an eligible medical, dental, or vision expense is with your Benefits Card:
- Access your HSA cash directly to pay for qualified expenses
- Reduce paperwork
- Eliminate the wait for reimbursement
Important Note! Your cards are valid for three years, so you’ll want to hold on to your cards from one year to the next. If your cards are expiring, you will receive a new set of cards during the month that your current cards are set to expire.
