Importance of Giving Back
We’re committed to making a difference through SentinelCares. Through our strategic partnerships, sponsorships, programs and volunteerism, we aim to reduce disparities, promote inclusion, and help meet the diverse needs of the communities we serve.
Since its inception in 2014, SentinelCares has provided more that $1 million in philanthropic support. We support more than 200 organizations annually, and our employees use their CSR benefits more than 3x the national average.
Keeping Our People Engaged
To achieve our SentinelCares objectives, we provide all of our employees with the following benefits:
- Community Campaigns
- Guest Speakers
- Matching Gifts
- Volunteer Hours of Service
Awareness
We introduce our employees to local organizations and encourage them to share ideas, skills and resources to create a positive change.
Advocacy
We support programs and organizations who do good work, strengthen our communities and provide opportunities in line with our core values.
Philanthropy
Our associates support causes important to them through workplace giving, and Sentinel doubles their impact with direct grants and matching contributions.

A Cause Close to Our Hearts
The John A. Carnevale ’81 Scholarship, established at St. John’s Preparatory School in Danvers, MA, is close to Sentinel's heart. This scholarship honors Sentinel’s founding CEO and is presented annually to a rising freshman who attends eighth grade at St. John’s.
The recipient will be a student who models leadership, demonstrates care and concern for his classmates, and feels a genuine passion for all that St. John’s Prep has to offer.
