Boston Business Journal logo of our Sentinel Cares program winning the top charitable contributors Helping others is at the core of Sentinel Benefits & Financial Groups’ culture. Through our SentinelCares program, we take an active role in enriching the communities in which we live and work. Our approach to corporate social responsibility places a priority on philanthropic support and on encouraging employee engagement through volunteerism and ethical behavior.

We’re honored to be a part of Boston’s Business Journal’s list of the region's top charitable contributors — a record 94 companies that paid out at least $100,000 to Massachusetts-based charities in 2016.

“When John Carnevale and our leadership team made the decision to create SentinelCares three years ago the objective was simple,” comments Michael Newhall, Vice President of Business and Community Development. “Our purpose as a company is to make a difference in the lives of those around us. The commitment to align our corporate citizenship strategy with our purpose as a company has transformed the way our employees experience their relationships with one another and their understanding of the valuable work achieved by nonprofit organizations. This recognition by the Boston Business Journal is validation that by sharing our culture and our resources we are making a difference in our communities.”
